Nawaz Khan Zaor, Chairman of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Party, spoke to the Mokhi Media

Nawaz Khan Zour, Chairman of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Party, while speaking to the Mokhi Media, stated that the Sindhi nation deserves appreciation for standing up to protect and claim ownership of its river. Rivers are the trust of nations and countries, and it is the responsibility of the people to safeguard them. For the first time in history, this movement has taken on a massive public form. Every segment of Sindh's society opposes the encroachment on canals, dams, and lands and is actively participating in the struggle against it. All political and social organizations of Sindh are playing a significant role in this movement.
Nawaz Khan Zour further stated that, along with opposing canals, it is also necessary to resist dams and land encroachments, as all three are interconnected issues. Where other parties of Sindh are actively involved in this struggle, the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Party is also fully engaged. After Eid, the movement will be taken forward, starting with a rally in Bulri Shah Karim on April 2, followed by another in Badah on April 5, and a sit-in at Moro Bypass on April 8. He warned that if the water of the Indus River is blocked, then the roads of Punjab will also be closed. He called upon all brothers and sisters, political and social activists, teachers, students, lawyers, journalists, farmers, laborers, traders, and people from all walks of life to join hands in this struggle to protect the Indus River.
