The name Sadiq Hidayat is no secret for readers of world fiction. He is the grandfather of Persian literature who gained great recognition through his stories, novels, plays, and comic articles in the last nineteenth century. His books have been translated into modern languages of the world.
He was born in 1903 in Thran and got his primary education from Thran and went to Europe in 1926 to get higher education, where he became interested in European literature and art. His first collection of stories " Buried Alive" was published. Around 1936, his novel "The Blind Owl" was published. Which was immediately translated from Persian into other languages and gained international recognition.
This novel (The Blind Owl) is written in the background of the city of Fars. The translator Ayaz Bhatti translated it into the Sindhi language under the name of " Andho Chibro".
